De Geelvoorhoofd kakariki, Cyanoramphus auriceps, is een soort van parkiet inheems is voor de eilanden van Nieuw-Zeeland. Ze komen voor op de drie belangrijkste eilanden van Nieuw-Zeeland, Noordereiland, Zuidereiland en Stewart Island / Rakiura, evenals op de subantarctische Auckland eilanden. De populatie is afgenomen als gevolg van jacht door geïntroduceerde diersoorten, zoals hermelijnen. Hoewel ze in tegenstelling tot de roodvoorhoofd parkiet niet zijn uitgeroeid van het vasteland van Nieuw-Zeeland.
