De Blauwmasker amazone (Amazona versicolor) is een soort van papegaai in de Psittacidae familie. Ze zijn inheems op Santa Lucia en het is de nationlae vogel van het land. Hun natuurlijke habitat zijn subtropisch of tropisch vochtige bergbossen. Ze worden bedreigd door habitatverlies. Van de jaren 50 tot 70 is het aantal van hun soort gedaald van ongeveer 1000 vogels tot 150 vogels. Toen is het instanthoudingsprogramma opgestart. Met steun van de bevolking om de soort te redden was de soort in 1990 weer toegenomen tot 350 vogels.
